Massachusetts Turnpike Authority – Spring Flower Show Exhibit

I provided concept, design, production and printing supervision of the “MassPike in Bloom” calendar and Spring Flower Show exhibit. In conjunction with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Spring Flower Show, I designed and produced this exhibit describing the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority’s work in landscape management and addressed the theme of the flower show, “Rediscovering the Americas”.

Educational/photographic displays were developed illustrating four management systems: woodlands, wetlands, wildflower meadows and the urban landscape; as well as an illustrative guide. I assisted the Authority in the design of a re-useable freestanding exhibit and worked with a vendor in the manufacture and training of the exhibit materials. I assisted the Authority in the selection of photography, copywriting the exhibit’s text, and printing of all collateral material. I also designed and produced a handout that was used during the flower show and given out at the Authority’s tourist stations along the highway. The exhibits won design awards in both of the exhibition categories in which they were entered.
